Clifton has established close ties with Autism NI. Parents and teachers have found them a benefitical source of advice and guidance in helping develop strategies to better support pupils with Autism.
Formed in 1989 by a group of parents and professionals concerned by the lack of Autism services in Northern Ireland, Autism NI seeks to ensure that people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their carers have access to appropriate services, enabling people with Autism to become valued members of the community.
The main areas of our work are: family support, information and advice, branch support, training, awareness raising, helpline, resource centre, political lobbying, research, policy change and strategic planning.
